There is time enough for love

Or so we thought

Time indeed to sit and see

What it was we sought

And what it was we got

When we met each other

Is there time enough for love

For we two are alone

In our hearts single and proud

And our voices forceful and loud

Constantly setting the line

Whereby we define ourselves

There is time enough for us

To adjust to life together

For the two of us to learn

Tine to learn to regard

The pain of loving another

Of being constantly together

Is there time enough for love

For two hearts meeting

When limits stop the reaching

When pride prevents the melding

When love is not enough

There must be time for liking
